Reverse Engineering Service

Obsolete, Worn, or Broken — We Recreate Any Mold or Die Component

Schedule a Meeting

When You Need a Part That No Longer Exists

Mold and die components wear out, break, or become obsolete. Original drawings are lost. Suppliers discontinue parts. The OEM is out of business. Production is stopped, and you need a replacement — fast.

Tooling Components provides reverse engineering services for mold and die components. Send us a sample — even a broken or worn one — and we will measure, CAD-model, and manufacture a precision replacement. No original drawings required.

With 38+ years of mold and die component expertise, we understand the critical dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements that make a component work correctly in your tooling.

Our Reverse Engineering Process

1

Send Sample

Ship us your part — new, worn, or broken. Include any available drawings or specs.

2

Measure & Scan

Precision measurement with calipers, micrometers, and CMM. 3D scanning for complex geometries.

3

CAD Recreate

We create a complete CAD model with correct tolerances and material specifications.

4

Review

We send drawings for your approval before manufacturing begins.

5

Manufacture

Precision machining, heat treatment, and grinding to exact specifications.

6

Deliver

Quality-checked replacement shipped to your facility, ready to install.

When You Need Reverse Engineering

  • Obsolete components: The original manufacturer no longer exists or has discontinued the part
  • Lost drawings: The original CAD files or blueprints are lost, damaged, or never existed
  • Worn or broken parts: You have the physical part but it is damaged and needs to be replaced
  • Design improvements: You want to improve on the original design — better material, tighter tolerance, or modified geometry
  • Legacy tooling: Older molds and dies that use non-standard or proprietary components
  • Emergency replacements: Production is down and you need a replacement fast — send us the broken part
